We kicked off our Spring Break in KC and ended it at the river ...
With LuLu in town - my mom and dad scooped Charlie up on Thursday and headed to the Current to round out his Spring Break. Josh and I followed Saturday morning and Aggie and Tommy joined us. We shared a great weekend of eating a fishing, periods of warm sunshine, and lots of laughs!
On Sunday before we packed up to leave ... we walked down to Jerry's dock to sit and fish for a while. They weren't really biting per say ... My dad was fishing and Charlie was choosing his lures, this is a regular activity for them ... and my dad switched poles, and Charlie picked up the one Grandpa had been using, second cast out he had caught himself a little blue gill. He was so proud as he reeled it in, all by himself. Gus goes crazy over some fish, he immediately jumped off the 5 foot cement wall down onto the dock and started jumping/biting at the fish ... so funny! At one point he almost backed Charlie off the dock into the river! These two are too much sometimes!
My dad already has him exaggerating the size of the catch ...
Running back to the cabin to tell Grandma ALL about it!
