Easter Festivities

We've celebrated Easter in Sedalia for the last 4 years. But, since we had all been together the weekend before to celebrate Grandma Alice, this year we stayed closer to home and enjoyed hunting eggs in our own yard. Charlie was overly joyed at the fact that he was the only hunter and guaranteed to find the golden egg for once.

Saturday of Easter weekend we attended the egg hunt at Hickory Hills. The kiddos gathered eggs, bounced in bounce houses, rode ponies and had a big lunch, followed by lots of chocolate. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed this event so much with several of our friends and their families.

*Proud Mama Moment -- Charlie's pal Gavin arrived after the egg hunt, so Charlie offered to share some of his eggs. So Sweet!

We headed North from HHCC to Butler. We celebrated Easter with the Armstrong side that afternoon. We arrived to the news of new border collie puppies. Charlie immediately went into dog training mode and asked to check on them every five minutes - His favorite was the one with the white face. He named him "Whitey"

We topped off our afternoon with an egg hunt

Love these cousins ... and the memories they make.

We were greeted on Easter morning with a warm and sunny day.
Charlie started his egg hunt from the bunny and found his basket in the club house. It was filled with some summertime essentials - bubble machine, dive toys, pool shoes, golf tees and Sponge Bob golf balls. And the bunny even knew to bring a new LEGO set!

We had a lovely breakfast on the patio and then headed to church.
