Halloween

Charlie was a fun loving 3 year old Halloween lover this year.
The costumes, the pumpkins, the fun events and of course the candy.
We did it all and loved every minute of it!

He decided back in September that he wanted to be Spiderman and stuck to his guns... sort of, more on that later. Halloween was on a Wednesday this year but we started on Sunday at a fun event sponsored by our zoo here in Springfield - "Spooktacular" is what they call it and it was our first time - but won't be our last. All the animals are put away but you walk through the zoo and trick or treat along the way. We went with the Russell boys and they all had a great night!

Love this one.. in character.

Such a fun night.
Monday morning we had our preschool party. Charlie wore his Spiderman costume again and loved seeing all his friends dressed up! Crafts and treats, it was a fun party!

We painted and carved pumpkins at home too.
Halloween morning brought LOTS of fun treats for Charlie. The perks of being the ONLY grandchild on both sides! Tons of fun toys and candy - everyone loves to spoil this little one.
We hosted the Russells, Sutherlands, Rosses and a few other brave adults with no littles on Halloween night for chili and ribs and all the fixins. The men took the children trick or treating and we hung at home to pass out the candy. We had the best night - lots of laughs.

This little pasta spider Charlie made is one of my favs.
You can't beat Halloween in our neighborhood. I love the memories Charlie makes with his friends this time of year. Kicking off the holiday season!
