Charlie's birthday fell on a Tuesday this year - so we celebrated the weekend before with my side - the week throughout with Charlie's class and the weekend after with Josh's side and his party! There was NO shortage of celebration for our little 3 year old and he was lovin every minute of it!
My mother always made such a fuss over our birthdays - a tradition I loved as a child and intend to keep for my own children! A special banner and breakfast to kick off the big day, followed by present opening.
We took cupcakes to preschool on Monday and treats to PDO class on Tuesday. He chose Chic-fil-a for his birthday dinner. All in all it was a great day - All about Charlie.
Charlie chose Chuck E Cheese for his birthday party. Which made the hair on my neck stand on end in the beginning. BUT after having the party there I will have to say I was MORE than impressed. They made it so easy for even this OCD party planning mom. We had 11 of his little friends and some of our family of course and overall it was a WONDERFUL time.
This is an image that is forever burned into my memory - The pizza, the crown, his friends and family, presents and Chuck E Cheese - I'm not sure I've ever seen him happier!
These are some of my most favorite pictures from the day. They gave Charlie the golden ticket - worth 1000 points and locked him in the ticket blaster. He held on to that ticked for dear life and had nothing to do with the others blowing around him. That's my boy!
As you can see - everyone had fun - young and old!
We spent Sunday on our new play set from Nana and Papa!
Turning 3 was a BLAST!
