Everyday I am Thankful. Thankful for the blessings the Lord has given to me and my family, blessings I don't deserve but have been given through Him.
This time of year brings up a whole new meaning to the word Thankful. Late Autumn is such a wonderful time to reflect on the things that matter the most to me in my life. Our schedules seem to slow down and I am able to appreciate time with my family with out the hustle and bustle that will come with Christmastime.
This year we started our holiday in Butler on my Aunt and Uncle's farm. The day was sunny and unseasonably warm - just right for two sweet cousins (Charlie and Luca) to frolic outside.
They fed the horses, chased the sheep and pet the dogs.
Fun was had by all.
We Armstrong's are good at two things, eating and laughing.
And we are seasoned vets at both. The time we spend together is always lined with bittersweet feelings of my grandmother since her passing in October. But her memory still shines strong and her presence is still strong through stories told and kisses given.

So much love for this group right here.
Missing a few. My sisters and William in this shot.
Anxious to ALL be together for Christmas!
Wednesday morning we loaded up and hit the road for our Iowa Thanksgiving.
Charlie was a trooper and takes that 9+ hour trip in stride after all his experience. The weather was also mild and we were able to enjoy Nana and Papa's farm.
On the afternoon of Thanksgiving we took a trailor ride behind Joe's tractor with the fam. The sunset was beautiful and it was such a fun new tradition.
Aunt Monica and her NEW fiance, Bart.
We are all so excited for the two of them!
Such a treat to be with family.
Friday night we made plans with a few of Josh's friends from high school and their kiddos. We stayed and played until almost 11:30 that night. So fun to catch up.
On Saturday we celebrated with Josh's dad side at his grandparent's house.
More family, more eating, more love.
We have much to be Thankful for.
