Our sweet babysitter (who I used to babysit) Claire Turner made the trip to Fayetteville, AR to become a HOG this year. Before she left she invited all us "moms" and our little ones for an end of summer pool party! The Turner's house is one of my absolute favorites and I am always happy to spend some time with this group of kiddos and their mothers!
Saturday of that week we headed North to Sedalia for Charlie Boy's third state fair, I guess you could say he is a regular! The weather was WONDERFUL - low 80's I think and we had a wonderful time. We missed my cousin and her Luckenbill clan this year but hope we can be together again in 2013.
First stop was the mule barn. My grandma Alice's cousins still raise champion mules so we stopped in to say hello.
Waiting for our lemonade.
Sitting on grandpa Jack's bench with Henry.
Pony Rides
Kissing Goats
Walking with Baba
Talking to Auto
Charlie convinced us that the rides were a good idea this year.
I am always a bit hesitant on the carnival side of the fair but the smiles that follow prove that this one could not have had a better time!
"One more time!"
Headed home after a LONG day at the fair.
We were celebrating MeeMaw's and Aunt Lisa's birthday.
Such a great weekend.
Love our time with Great Grandma Alice
As always, a fun fun weekend in Sedalia!
