Life on the Beach

We were lucky enough to make another trip to Rosemary Beach this summer. This trip was a little different than the past since my parents and sisters joined us and we made the trip in August instead of May like we usually do. A few things didn't change... Rosemary was still just a beautiful and we had a wonderful time.

We stayed in a large house instead of our usual carriage house and the accommodations ended up being just perfect. Josh and I were lucky enough to score the carriage house and Charlie had his very own bunk room!
We had a big, well equipped kitchen so we did dinner in two times and had lots of big breakfasts and lunches together. We rented through 360 Blue Properties and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone thinking about renting along 30A.

We arrived on Saturday night to somewhat clear skies - which quickly turned to rain on Sunday and continued until Tuesday morning. We did some shopping, some indoor swimming and some lounging to pass the time and thankfully the sun came out on Tuesday morning and stayed around for the rest of the week. Perfect Beach Weather!

Finally.... The Beach - what we drove all that way to see!

Charlie of course was super excited and loved the ocean even more this year!

MeeMaw always spoils with pancakes - Charlie's favorite!

Catching up on work with Aggie

Josh and I were so lucky to be able to get up early and take a beach walk every morning together. We always looked for "treasures" for Charlie - we found a plastic shark, a crab, and a little pink fish that ended up being huge hits.

Baba loved the crab too...

Juice box and pringles on the beach - doesn't get much better than that.

We made a few trips to Charlie's do-nut truck in Alys beach.

Charlie became quite the swimmer this year. Diving off the side and swimming to the bottom to scoop up diving toys. Josh and I were so proud of him - no puddle jumper for this guy.

This night was by far my favorite night of our trip. I love George's restaurant in Alys Beach (the community right next to Rosemary). We were lucky enough to see one of the most beautiful sunsets that night too!

Charlie's special treat

Fun times on the sandbar.

Poolside lunch complete with a virgin strawberry daiquiri
.
Charlie always found friends at the pool - he would introduce himself and then immediately show then one of his "tricks" or how one of his toys worked. He is so eager to entertain and it made this mama smile.

We made our way into Seaside one night for dinner and had to stop off at Duckies.

Putting the new pirate sword to good use.

My Sweet Sweet Family

Charlie loved this little green jeep

Root Beard as Charlie calls it - one of his favs!

The whole clan - Love this shot

Until next time Rosemary - you didn't disappoint!
