My camera and I are on a bit of a split. I guess after Christmas and the hundreds of shots I snapped it did deserve a bit of a hiatus! My new iphone however has been getting a serious workout! Pardon the grainy quality of the following post... I promise to dust off the super cool mom camera soon!
2012 is starting out to be a pretty fun year!
We kicked it off at home with friends and pizza and have been on the move since....
Cotton Bowl with friends ... cheering on the Hogs
Silly face time with my favorite munchkin...
Dinosaur movies... and LOTS of them! I highly recommend the Land Before Time (one of Josh's childhood favs) spin offs in the $5 section of Wal-Mart. A real crowd pleaser around here.
This is a shot of Charlie taken while we were face timing during my Market trip to Atlanta. Six long nights away from the boys was about all this mama could take. I managed to make the best of it but was happy to get back to our routine!
While I was gone Josh is always so good at sending me multiple pics a day. (Got to stay in the loop, this baby boy is changing so much) Here are a couple of my favs...
Charlie spent the beginning of the week with MeeMaw and Baba, a real treat for everyone involved! We are so thankful for the times they are able to help us out! While he was there my dad taught him his newest trick "Raise your hand if you are Charlie Habel." I got several pics of him displaying this new ability... this one was "Raise your hand if you like your dinner" Who wouldn't... REALLY Josh, a filet - cooked to perfection I might add... twice baked potato... garlic bread and baby buttered carrots! What a treat - thanks for holding out on mom!
And this one... is there ANYTHING more precious than a sleeping baby???
The answer is NO! Charlie has always been a professional sleeper... in his own bed! If we put him in bed with us it never works out, same goes for downstairs so this was a real treat for Josh. He LOVED having Charlie asleep on his (numb) arm while watching football on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
We celebrated Kim's Birthday last weekend on Friday night
with dinner and a homemade red velvet cake prepared by yours truly!
And Saturday we had a wonderfully happy family day!
Lunch date and an eventful trip to Bass Pro Shop.
Charlie sipping a Sprite... HUGE DEAL!
Most nights are quiet... dinner around six followed by cleaning up, folding laundry, reading, playing etc. Josh says everyday is like ground hog day but we wouldn't change that for the world! Here are a couple more shots of us - doing what we do!
I am Happy to do just that!
