Missouri State Fair

For those of you who don't know... I was born in Sedalia, Missouri and the state fair grounds hold some of my most fond memories with my Grandpa Jack. In the summertime when we would visit he would take us for ice cream and then to see the baby deer in the Missouri Conservation area. I can remember my uncle braving the rabid teenage girl crowd to take my cousin and I to see the New Kids on the Block in concert ... every summer my grandparents would take my cousins and I for a corn dog and lemonade.

So many vivid memories that were all brought back, a few weekends ago, this summer when we loaded up the car and headed to 2010 State Fair. We had a great time! My cousin Whitney and her twins joined us, along with Regan and her husband and my Uncle Jim and Aunt Lisa. It was HOT to say the least. But Charlie was a real trooper and seemed to really enjoy himself.

We had a full day at the fair grounds and then swung by to visit with Grandma Alice. Charlie was his old charming self and was quick to show Great Grandma Alice all his new tricks. We could tell we really made her day and we are hoping not to go too much longer before we make another trip back for a visit.
