90th Birthday Celebration

At the end of August the whole Armstrong Clan gathered in Butler, Missouri to celebrate a very special birthday. The Big 9-0 for our grandfather. That brings together...

That's a grand total of 26 - plus one more in the oven! What a group we are, and what fun memories we can make when we are all together in one city! Poor Butler, MO ... we rocked that little town that weekend. Started off with a pool party and lunch at the club ... some golf for the boys. We payed a visit to Grandma Lucy, it was her birthday so my dear cousin Jamie placed balloons on her grave as we all sang Happy Birthday and then a sobbing rendition of "Love Lifted Me." This is the song she used to sing to each of us as she would rock us on the farm. I'm not sure there was a dry eye among us. 

These photos should speak for themselves. Lots of laughs, plenty of food, and memories to last a lifetime. God has blessed us beyond measure with each year we continue to share with this man we proudly call our grandfather. The most important lesson that was always, and continues to be taught ... Family First.
