My sisters will agree, our mother was the best at making EVERY holiday so special for us.
She would maintain the best traditions year after year with banners and decorations, a special meal and little gifts that made all three of us feel so loved. This is one thing I have really tried to do for my household - I'm sure you have picked up on that. I'm sure my husband LOVES hauling my plastic tubs back and forth from the warehouse... but he does it and never complains ...
Thank You Dear!
So Christmas is over and the house is clean - but it is BARE. Can't stand it and can't wait to get out everything hearts and tulips to prepare for the 14th of February. I heart Valentine's Day!
Started the week off with heart shaped pancakes for my little one- I wanted them to be pink, he of course couldn't have any association with the color pink, so they are blue! The troubles of a 3 year old male, I tell ya!
We partied at school too - handmade bird feeders with pipe cleaners and cheerios and doily art.
Treats from our classmates and Super Heart Hero masks for our friends!
Charlie's class won the contest for the best Vday bulletin board too!
Special breakfast and dinner -
Homemade Spaghetti and Chocolate Cake.
Didn't get a shot of that, salivating too hard I guess to focus!
Paint markers and lots of treats for My Funny Valentine.
My sweetheart blessed me with a Target GC and a solo trip! What a treat! Couldn't love any one more!
Later that week we got snow - well ice really!
But enough that we were all able to stay home to enjoy it! We did some serious sledding!
So really - all in all a great winter -
but as I mentioned before, anytime spring.
