Farm Day with the Russell Boys

The Sunday after Kadyn's walk we took a trip back to Rutledge Wilson farm with the Russell family. As always the boys had a ball. It was the perfect day to spend on the farm with two of Charlie's best buds.

Didn't snap that many pictures at this one.... My final shower for Miss Vivian. Held a Hickory Hills Country Club. A fun time with delicious chicken salad served in an acorn squash and lots of laughs with a wonderful group of ladies. My co-workers.

Kadyn's Mini Krew

It's hard to believe another year has come and gone - Kadyn's Walk is always such a wonderful time to see ALL Charlie's friends together working and walking to find a cure for this terrible disease our friend Kadyn fights on a DAILY basis! 

Our sweet sitter Claire put together a memory book this year so I dug up these old pics from the first time Kadyn and her brother Koy came to meet Charlie. I think he was around 2 weeks old here. They would have been around 9 months.

Kadyn is our "warrior princess" and we continue to marvel in her bravery and strength. Her mother Katie is a true inspiration for the rest of us young moms. Never taking a day for granted and truly living their family life to the FULLEST.  We are grateful to call them friends.

Somehow each year we are blessed with a beautiful day for the walk. It is held at Rutledge Wilson Farm - a city park on the West side of Springfield.

This year Kadyn's Krew raised well over 80,000 dollars alone! What a wonderful accomplishment! So proud to be a part of this group!
