Sliding into Summer...

Sweet Summertime - You are in FULL SWING - and I am lovin' every minute of ya!
We have been getting up early and going down late around here these days - soakin up all there is to take in during these "dog days of summer."
Since Memorial Day... has it really been that long since I have had a post??... sad but true...
We are spending alot of time on the slip and slide I purchased for the Fish Fry. I'll say it again, best 20 bucks I've spent this summer - Target for you inquisitive moms!

William came to join the fun...

These two are the sweetest pals

If we weren't in the front yard we were in the back enjoying our new patio.
So glad I took these pictures when I did, the grass is so green and my flowers were in their prime.
I would be lying if I told you they still look that good
it's been HOT HOT HOT down here in Missouri this summer.

Summertime Smiles are the sweetest!

We celebrated a Happy Happy Father's Day!
A wonderful day to honor two men who couldn't love
that little guy in the middle ANY more.

Charlie is TOO lucky!

My sweet little family, we love you dad!

After church we came home to a real manly brunch.
This recipe was intense and we ate it for the rest of the week!

It's from the Trisha Yearwood cookbook -
called "Garth's Breakfast Bowl"

Kind of a deep dish consisting of several delicious ingredients layered together - Here you go... buckle up.

1 regular bag of frozen hashbrowns
1 lb breakfast sausage
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
1 package bertolli ravioli - cheese and garlic flavored
8 scrambled eggs
1 lb bacon

Prepare everything on its own and pile it all in a bowl! DELISH!

I also made Rhodes cinnamon rolls... find them in the frozen section of your grocery, you let them rise and they come with the most wonderful cream cheese icing! Not sure who out there would waste their time with home made after having these! Pick some up! You will not regret it.

Lots and Lots of gifts. It's easy to spoil these two men who do so much for us. A Kayak cart for my dad. New shoes, sunglasses, American flag and rain gauge for Josh. Charlie made him a special something at school too - a cup full of kisses!

The neighbor boys came over for some fun that afternoon

Cheese ball picnic with Hudson and Davis

Josh prepared a pork butt from the Farmer's Market for dinner

And Charlie topped off the weekend with
some body art with his markers - never a dull moment.

Stay tuned for pictures from the 4th of July - Gonna be a BIG one!
