* For some reason I could never find this post on the blog... so I just reposted it... the pics are too cute to miss! Sorry for all the changes too for those of you who check in regularly.. for some reason I have been experiencing some serious difficulties!
We haven't made it to the River nearly enough as we should... during Charlie's two and a half years. To be honest this is the first time Josh and I have been in almost two years. How does the time slip away? We packed up the car on Friday afternoon and headed East to the Current. We stopped in Van Buren for dinner with my sweet friend Sara, we also had the pleasure of meeting her new husband to be. And scaring the living daylight out of all the young lovebirds who joined us - I'm sure after that crazy meal with a wound up 2 year old they will never have children of their own! Thanks for meeting us Sara - and for your patience! xo
Saturday morning we were up and at em... On the dock fishing!
My mom and dad arrived in time to bring some fish
for lunch and we suited up to hit the river.
Charlie had his first kayak experience and he did great.
Josh was so patient with him and Charlie was a "good listener."
Mama was a nervous wreck on the dock but they made me proud!
Grandma makes the best pancakes.
More "boat" rides.
We took the opportunity to be
"one with nature" and do some potty training
Time to replenish with the Bubba Keg
The 1.000 candle flash light is always a big hit
Lots of baking
More kayak riding
Lovely sunsets
Breakfast with grandma
Charlie and Gus checking out the minnow bucket catches
Up close and personal...
and eventually dead from lack of water
Lookin forward to the 4th of July!
