The Most Beautiful Southern Bride...

My oldest and dearest as I call her, Miss Margeaux Boyer was married last month in Charleston, S.C. What a wedding... what a wedding. I was thrilled to board a plane early Thursday morning of that week to meet my mom and dad in SC and let the fun begin.

We started with lunch at Magnolia's and of course participated in some touristy retail. So many fun southern dresses --- my mom spoiled me a bit and picked up the tab for two. "Thank you mom!" After a quick afternoon coffee my dad and I hit the rooftop pool at the hotel, The Charleston Inn. We both did a little reading and a little napping! The best kind of r&r.

Charleston is so beautiful.

Saturday morning I was lucky enough to share
coffee with the bride.
We did some catching up
and spoke of the details of the event to come! Loved it!

For lunch we chose Husk. This restaurant won the James Beard award last year so it gets lots of pub. It did NOT disappoint. We couldn't get reservations until 2:15 that afternoon - Well worth it.

Their menu is forever changing but the cheeseburger is a staple.
Thought I better make sure it lived up to the hype... it did!

The Charleston Inn was lovely.

We arrived to the wedding around 4:45 and I knew we were in for a wonderfully planned evening. Everything was so beautiful. The ceremony was held on a well manicured lawn and the reception kicked off just steps away under a large white tent. The food and drink were delicious, the band was rockin and everyone was having the best time. It was the perfect setting and Margeaux was the happiest I think I have ever seen her!

The beautiful bride.

The Food.... Oh, the Food.
At the risk of sounding TOO pregnant,
I could go on and on about the food.
The shrimp, the crab cakes, the asparagus,
the shrimp and grits... all so fabulous!

As the sun went down and the band continued on
it became the perfect evening.

Mother of the bride, Jackie and some of the guests
that made the trip from Carthage.

Old friends.
Matt, Margeaux and I go back to the days of
Miss Judy's preschool and Mrs. Rosenthal's kindergarten.
My first two friends in Carthage.

And another with Matt's sweet wife, Allison

Mom and Dad hit the floor for Mustang Sally.

Wishing she and David nothing but the best for a long,
loving marriage.
Congratulations Margeaux!

Lauren is getting married...

2012 is the Spring/Early Summer for weddings around here. We started in SC the end of April and will finish up mid June here in Springfield. I LOVE a good wedding, everyone dressed up so pretty, a giddy-in-love bride and groom, the cake, the dancing, the champagne (not this summer)....

Next Saturday on the 18th, our sweet family friend Miss Lauren Fulp will walk down the aisle and I couldn't be happier for her. She is such a lovely girl, inside and out, and will make the MOST beautiful bride you have EVER seen. Mark my word.... and stay tuned for pictures. This blushing bride means so much to our little family. Her mom Cindy, and my mother served on PEO state board together which initially brought us together. When Charlie was born she insisted on watching him every chance she got - for FREE! She has been such a ray of sunshine any and every occasion we are able to be together and we couldn't be happier for her and Stuart to start their blissfully married life together!

I was thrilled to host a shower for her on the 22nd of April. I went with a good ol' fashioned theme, complete with paper bells and sherbert punch. It was such fun to host so many of her sweet friends and several of our Provence shop girls.

Charlie was a huge help in getting the house just right the morning of the shower.

My sweet hostess gift from Lauren and her mom Cindy.
Such a lovely addition to the new patio!

I am sad to see the parties come to an end but can't wait to see what is in store for the Lipscombs!
Cheers to Lauren and Stu - We love you both SO much!
