This year bringing home the Christmas tree had a WHOLE new meaning. Something about witnessing Josh strap it to the top of the car gave me goosebumps so he was sweet enough tackle that on his own this year... EARLY Friday morning. For those of you who don't remember, this is when we were car jacked last year. On black Friday in the Lowe's parking lot. I am so thankful after running through the scenario no less than a thousand times in my head - all that yahoo wanted was our car! The thought of my sweet baby boy being strapped in the back makes me want to burst in to tears each time I think about that terrible night!
Either way, here we are... making the best of the situation and thanking God for all the blessings he has brought us since that day. And for the new appreciation we are able to find in simple day to day happenings we might have taken for granted before.
We had a tree trimming night on Friday with just the fam.
Saturday morning Charlie and I headed to Drury for breakfast with Santa. We were invited by Holly and Henry to attend this year and it was a very fun time. Charlie did quite well with the big man in red - he didn't really enjoy the company of the Easter bunny this year - so I wondered. When he hopped up on his lap and Santa asked what he wanted he quickly responded with "Tools." Whew... Check and Check - thank you amazon.com since Target sold out!
