Tybee Island - August 2011

What a DELAY!!!

The Habel house has been a BUSY BUSY house since we returned from our Beach Vacation. I am so jazzed to find the new and improved way to upload pics though so GET READY. I think this one has like 95!!!

We made the trip to Tybee Island, Georgia with my parents again this year. This was the third time for our visit but this time by air - which was a first for the little guy! He did GREAT! Lots of snacks and Toy Story to pass the time and keep him busy!

We arrrived on Saturday and stayed through the following Saturday. A long week with the family but it was a lot of fun.
We were lucky in our weather, since it was around the time Irene made her way to shore.  It was HOT HOT HOT and sunny! We had a great time and made too many memories to capture.

We had to take Charlie to the Crab Shack to see the gators too

One morning we made a trip into Savannah for breakfast at J.Cristophers and a little shopping. We strolled through the river market for pralines at the Candy House and vidalia onion BBQ sauce.

Our last day, Friday was a little overcast. LuLu had headed out already so we took a day off from the beach and hit the local playground. Charlie had a wonderful time, along with Baba of course.

Our last night  Irene hit in NC. The sky was beautiful and we were so thankful we weren't affected. Such a fun trip but happy to head back home - with Charlie being the one and only grandson his new favorite word had become MINE! Happy to report... we are back to reality now and all is well!
