A BIG win for the Iowa Hawkeyes!

We returned home last night from a whirlwind Iowa trip. Drove up @ 4am on Friday and returned home last night at 4pm. It was a LOT of driving but a LOT of fun too. For the second year in a row the entire Neumann family gathered in Iowa City to tailgate and cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Charlie and I made it in to the game this time and he did better than either Josh or I expected. Except for that spilled soda - Sorry Aunt Monica and Miss Lauren!!

The weather was PERFECT for football and we had a wonderful time.

Friday night when we arrived we met the fam along with Charlie's best long distance buddy Landon Schultz and his mama Angie for dinner (do you love the retro highchairs from the restaurant). These two are an absolute hoot together! Three months apart and lots of memories to made just like their dads!

We ran into Marty and Travis - two of Josh's old college buddies!

Charlie was OBSESSED with eating ice out of the coolers!

We had a FUN FUN weekend! Didn't take someone long to pass out once we were back in the car!
Happy to be home now- ready to enjoy some fall weather and all the fun that has to bring!

Josh turns 31.

We LOVE birthdays -
so much we drag them out and drag them out
until they become birthday weekends!
I hope our daddy boy had a good one..
he deserves it for all he does for us!
We kicked it off on Friday with pizza and a cookie cake -
a Habel Family Favorite
Chubs had a great time poking those little fingies in the icing!

Saturday morning we opened presents and shared a big bday breakfast with dad. It's was his day so we spent most of the afternoon watching football and playing inside and then outside. That afternoon we had some visitors from KC. The Antongirolami family came to visit. Giorgio's soccer team was in town for a game on Sunday so they made the trip a little early to celebrate with us on Saturday night. Luca is almost one and he and Charlie had a big time this visit!

Charlie gave dad a "Toy Story" birthday card -
and then played with it all weekend!

At the game

Sunday night the Ross Family was sweet
to invite us for shrimp to celebrate again!
Of course Charlie and William toted Buzz and Woody
around all night and we had a wonderful time.

All in all it was a great Bday weekend! We love you dada!
